So I left the blog on a little bit of a cliff hanger! Surprised smile Sorry! From the moment I got off that plane in Japan, things got a *little* busy…so many things to do, so many things to see, so many people to speak to…At times things seemed a little crazy, but it was awesome. Going on exchange to Japan was one of the best decisions I ever made, and indeed in hindsight a lot of the worries I had seem like nothing compared to the opportunities and experiences I had by living a small part of my life abroad. If you are thinking about going on exchange, do it! I can’t imagine what my life would be like this year if I didn’t get on that plane. I feel like I have a lifetime of new memories to look back on, and a bunch of new friends that I know I will see again one day, somewhere in this world. Student exchange was great, and it is hard to describe in a few short sentences how great it was. Sure, there were the ups and downs that I expected, and some that I couldn’t have expected, but it was worth it. Every day was a new experience; a chance to learn something new.

Some people go on exchange seeking a change, and some people don’t expect to change at all. I’m not really sure if exchange at Kansai Gaidai University changed me, but I think for everyone who takes a break from their normal life and studies abroad, they have the time to better understand who they are, to get new insights that will shape their views and opinions (or form new ones), and get a better sense of where they want their life to go…or where they want to go in life. This is in addition to the huge amounts of fun and laughter that can be had with new friends along the way ;)

I have to repeat…if you have the opportunity to go on exchange, you should at least consider it and what it could do for you. I know that I want to live in Perth, Western Australia, but I don’t regret taking a break from that life and seeing the world…seeing the world through Japan and the people from all over the world who attend Kansai Gaidai University. But then I would also say, if you are considering going on exchange, maybe you already know that you want to go! Smile with tongue out

Lastly, I have to apologize for not writing here during my time in Japan. I know there are people who checked for updates who continued to find that I was still at Singapore Airport Winking smile. Before exchange, I had the goal of writing about my experience, and making videos about it for YouTube too. Once I arrived though, I realised I was putting myself under a bit of pressure trying to do both, so I decided early on to only focus on YouTube while I was over there. I did write some posts, though, that I will try to finish up and post here for you guys to read Smile And from there, I think I will start writing about other parts of my experience, albeit in hindsight. I have to say a huge thank you to everyone for their support, even if it is just through reading this blog, and also to those who commented with their encouraging words!
